"CEL" = cellulosic fibre The cellulose fibres required for their production come from eucalyptus wood, oak and birch. Lyocell fibres are intended to contribute to the maintenance of the environmental balance by integrating them into the natural cycle. The fibres are made of wood produced by photosynthesis and the bio-based fibres are produced in an environmentally friendly production process. Because eucalyptus trees grow quickly, without irrigation and virtually any pesticides, on land no longer fit for food.
